isa Howard has been with the Renaissance Historical
Society for the past 7 years. Her position on Council is Garb Constable. Lisa helps
our members learn how to garb themselves with renaissance period costumes and
manages the Society's Warehouse.

isa has also created an educational booklet comprised of information gathered by
herself and other RHS members. The book has a brief history of the period with
sample costumes, how to's and where to buy fabric and patterns or locate someone in
the Society who makes garb. She also attends our "First Sunday" gatherings and brings
books and patterns and is available to answer member questions. For information on
our "First Sunday" schedule, please visit our Calendar Page. Usually, our monthly
gatherings are scheduled on the first Sunday of each month.

ur Garb Constable also conducts workshops on mask making, shoe construction and
hat and dress making. Each year, Lisa plans a trip to various fabric stores in downtown
Miami, to help folks find fabric at a reasonable price. You may contact Lisa Howard @

n the real world, Lisa Howard works as a Medical Administrative Secretary at Miami
Children's Hospital. She is responsible for 35 doctors who work in the Emergency
Department and two Rapid Care Centers; the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship
Program and the Joint Advocacy Review Team which is involved in child protection
issues Lisa is also the liaison between Miami Children's Hospital and Miami Dade
Emergency Medical Services; arranging training for nursing staff and physicians with the
Fire Department rescue operations. She has been part of the Miami Children's Hospital
staff for the past 10 years.
