uring
the Renaissance, a Courtesan was chosen for her Beauty, Charm, Wit
and Intelligence in order to serve as companion to the Gentlemen
of the Court. It was expected that a Courtesan was educated in classical
subjects as Art, Music, Poetry and Politics.

he Courtier was as well
an Artist, Poet and Musician who was employed by a Patron who would
cover all his expenses. Famous Courtier's were Leonardo d' Vinci
and Michelangelo!
